The #WearGreenForJonty campaign was launched by Eventing Worldwide on the 25th June 2018

The idea of wearing something green was thought of by Eventing Worldwide's supported 4* event rider Alice Dunsdon.

Chatting the idea through with Jessica Crocker, Editor and Owner of Eventing Worldwide, the campaign was born and successfully launched with the blessing of Jonty's family.

With so many of the Eventing community wanting to raise money to help Jonty and his family, Jess decided to launch the sale of Wristbands and Polo Shirts the following day.  Along with the help of her husband and 8yo son Harvey in the first week they have packed and posted over 1000 orders to raise money for The David Foster Injured Riders Fund, thanks to everyones enormous support and generosity.

It is the wish of Jonty's family that all money raised from the #WearGreenForJonty campaign goes to this very worthwhile cause.

'David Foster was a highly respected and much loved event rider, who enjoyed a very successful national and international career, which included representing Ireland in three Olympics. In the summer of 1998, David was tragically killed while eventing locally in Rathmolyon.
The following year The David Foster Injured Riders Fund was formed by David’s wife. The fund has been running successfully ever since. Its sole purpose is to financially help injured riders. To date, the fund has paid out more than €100,000  to over 20 individuals. All payments are given with complete confidentiality and no-one who has approached the Board in times of difficulty has ever been turned down.'

The campaign will run all through July, and the eventing community have been asked to pulled together to show their support for Jonty by wearing green whilst competing, supporting or spectating any events this month.

At least  £5 from every polo shirt and £2 from every wristband sold goes to this charity.

Please show your support by posting up your photos with the #WearGreenForJonty or send to Eventing Worldwide to appear in the gallery above.

Thanks go to pid signz for their support with printing the clothing and stickers.
